Aedelite was the first gemstone to be named after a person. It was named in honor of the Dutch mineralogist Colonel Hendrik Von Prehn, who was credited with making discoveries in South Africa in the 1700s. The origin of Aedelite is mainly the United States, Canada, Scotland, France, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Yugoslavia, Russia, Pakistan, India, Japan, Australia, South Africa and so on.
China's Aedelite, produced in Sichuan Province, Luzhou, Leshan and other places. The stone is mostly green in color, and there is a raised color block on the stone surface, which is named for its shape like grapes.
